Bookkeeper

• Ensures proper processing of biweekly multi state payroll for 5000+ employees in US and Canada; process monthly and quarterly commission payrolls
• Process miscellaneous off cycle checks including final paycheck, severance, etc.
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, to include salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate against confirmed reports
• Assist in auditing for Monthly/Quarterly/Year-end Payroll Close process, as needed
• Answer, set up and test all incoming garnishments for accurate deductions
• Effectively prioritize to ensure compliance and accurate record keeping and ensure payroll is processed in compliance with multi state wage and hour laws
• Timely resolve internal/external employee inquiries via ticketing system
• Assist with new hire and employee level location tax set ups
