Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for the region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Review payroll procedures and provide guidance to employees and payroll team on the specifics of those policies. Ensure policies are up to date as changes are needed.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Mentor the regional payroll team, providing guidance and support.
Prepare and present payroll reports to the Payroll Director and other stakeholders.
Address and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies and work closely with the HR department.
Maintain and optimize payroll systems and software and work with Payroll Director and team on issue resolution.
Identify and assist with implementation of process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equal relevant experience.
5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in a regional or multi-location setting.
Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software, excellent organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and numerical skills and comfortable with Excel.
Good knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Federal and State Labor Laws).
Strong communication skills
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
