About the role

  • - Serve as day-to-day support for 5-6 clients, managing both strategy and execution
  • - Supporting the Account Lead to ensure KPIs are met across all clients
  • - Research and write press releases, op eds, case studies and blog posts
  • - Coming up with story angles to help meet the client KPIs
  • - Pitching clients’ stories to strategic media outlets and key journalists
  • - Ensure that the quality of deliverables are of the highest standards while meeting client requirements
  • - Formulate media strategies and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • - Be the liaison on behalf of clients and representation of a client with the media as and when required
  • - Participate in new business process including research, proposal and pitch preparation

Requirements

  • - Candidate must have the right to work in the UK
  • - At least 1-2 years experience or educational background in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism
  • - Knowledge of the fintech, blockchain or cryptocurrency space or have genuine desire to learn about it
  • - Media relationships with financial, tech and mainstream press
  • - Have a track record of successfully pitching client stories to tier 1 & 2 media publications
  • - Outstanding organisational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
  • - Strong attention to detail: be excellent at spelling, grammar and proof-reading
  • - High motivation and the ability to work independently under pressure
  • - Strong news sense and a knack for storytelling
  • - Flair for creativity, strategic thinking and innovation
  • - Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with clients and media
  • - Willing to communicate with memes
  • - Experience with a range of communication platforms (Telegram, Slack, X (formerly Twitter) and Discord)
