About the role

Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise network solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Define and document network standards, policies, and architecture blueprints for hybrid and cloud-native environments.
Collaborate with cloud, security, and application teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant network solutions.
Architect and optimize connectivity models: ExpressRoute, VPN, SD-WAN, Virtual WAN, and private peering.
Oversee network security integrations including firewalls, WAFs, DDoS protection, NSGs/ASGs, and Zero Trust models.
Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on best practices in cloud networking and automation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
Stay current with Azure advancements, networking trends, and security practices, and contribute to the architecture roadmap.

10+ years of network engineering/architecture experience, with at least 4+ years in Azure networking.
Proven expertise in Azure networking services: ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual WAN, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, DNS.
Experience in network design for hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
Routing & switching, firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN.
Strong understanding of network security principles (Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, segmentation).
Hands-on experience with automation & IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Ansible, PowerShell).
Familiarity with monitoring & observability tools (Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, Splunk).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred certifications: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.
Nice to have: Exposure to AWS/GCP networking, container networking (Kubernetes, Azure CNI, Istio, Calico), and knowledge of HIPAA, ISO, NIST, SOC2.
