About the role

  • The Accounts Payable Vendor Management Specialist is responsible for managing vendor and customer service relationships.\n
  • This role will work as part of a shared services function, with global counterparts and responsibilities.\n
  • An ideal candidate will contribute to establishment and maintenance of internal controls to ensure accurate, complete, efficient, and timely recording of financial transactions.\n
  • Manage external vendor and internal customer relations, communicating payment status and other inquiries within established time frames.\n
  • Manage the vendor onboarding process ensuring that Vendor Management procedures are followed, and required documentation is provided.\n
  • Perform reconciliations of vendor statements to the AP sub-ledger for accuracy and work with vendors to resolve any payment discrepancies.\n
  • Maintain records for new and established vendors and assist with 1099 reporting.\n
  • Acts as a liaison between employees, internal support areas, and other departments.\n
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\n
  • Experience in Accounts Payable, vendor management, or a shared services environment preferred.\n
  • Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems\n
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, vendor onboarding\n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills\n
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail\n
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment
