About the role

  • Sony Electronics Inc. is looking for the risk-takers, the collaborators, the inspired and the inspirational.
  • Sony's Purpose: fill the world with emotion, through the power of creativity and technology.
  • Role: Technical Sales Support Representative for Custom Installation Channel, focus on East Coast territory.
  • Create positive impression of Sony and offer sales support for Sony dealers and installers.
  • Build rapport with different audiences and create a 'Sony first' mentality with dealers in the territory.
  • Maximize product sales by supporting Sony dealers, distributors, and sales rep companies within the territory.
  • Provide product education, system design assistance, data collection, and training (virtual and in-person).
  • Host trainings for dealers and distributors; support sales through consultative collaboration.
  • Monitor demo product inventory, manage demo samples, facilitate product evaluations across territory.
  • Support National, Regional, & Local industry and dealer events as a brand representative of Sony.
  • Conduct demonstrations and directly assist dealers; gather and report field and channel feedback.
  • Work with other Regional Managers and TSS’s to achieve group goals and deliver a consistent dealer experience.
  • Be a point of contact for dealers for troubleshooting and direct them to service team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Custom Integration or Related Channel: Sales, Installation , Training, or Technical Support .
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Willingness to learn and teach others about exciting new features, technology, and how they benefit Sony dealers and customers.
  • Must be able to work weekends/nights for Product launch events, Dealer events, or S ales and T raining events.
  • Sales focused with the ability to influence others to execute your strategies with a focus on ROI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships and engage with all levels of dealer and market personnel .
  • Strong decision - making skills with the ability to solve problems creatively, effectively, efficiently and at times individually
  • Willingness to take ownership in your business and learn, plan, or implement what is required to succeed
  • Must live in a location within the territory
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred: Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Preferred: High Level Understanding: 2-piece Projection Systems, Control Systems, Home Cinema, Multi-Room AV systems.
  • Preferred: Established Relationships with Key Dealers, Sales Reps, and Complimentary Vendors
  • Preferred: Ability to edit short videos for YouTube content is a Plus
