Responsible for the maintenance and coordination of daily work plans that effectively and efficiently use resources with emphasis on safety, customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance
Create and maintain a daily work plan and daily crew roster; adjust planned schedules daily and assign crews for priority tasks based on resource availability and real-time progress
Generate work orders and perform final review and closeout of completed work packets; complete job closeout within various systems
Analyze exception reports to verify labor and equipment charged to each work, job, trouble and miscellaneous order
Support the department by requesting locates, ordering materials, coordinating other utilities, or scheduling specialized equipment associated with daily operations
Maintain data integrity within systems used to manage daily work execution, asset management and scheduling activities; reconcile completed work packets to eliminate discrepancies
Provide backup to other Operations Work Coordinator and/or Associate positions and work effectively with local supervisors and stakeholder groups to maximize productivity
(Senior) Review approved incoming designed work, maintain visibility into real-time queue, coordinate equipment and materials, and ensure work acceptance and job readiness
(Senior) Identify necessary project changes, manage work rejections, triage additional work requests, and communicate schedule updates to frontline leaders, crews and stakeholders
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Entry: 3+ years related experience in the construction, design, maintenance or operations area (utility experience preferred)
Senior: 5+ years' experience in construction, design, maintenance or operations area (utility experience preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management or related field preferred (Senior)
Must have a good understanding of the regular work functions of the area including work order management, payroll, invoicing, materials, compliance, policies, safety, etc.
Demonstrated ability to schedule and manage work activities to meet customer/internal stakeholder requirements
Scheduling/planning experience in utility or construction industry preferred (Senior)
Established analytical and problem-solving skills (Senior)
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and strong written/verbal communication skills (Senior)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet tools
Ability to retrieve and manipulate data from reporting tools
Knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of computer software applications including Microsoft products, work management, mapping and scheduling/project management tools
