About the role

  • Identifying new business opportunities within both government and commercial sectors, aligning with our growth strategies
  • Leveraging and maintaining your defence network across ministries, government agencies, and across relevant commercial sectors.
  • Leading government engagement efforts to influence policy, procurement strategies, and partnership opportunities.
  • Navigating complex regulatory and compliance frameworks to ensure business dealings adhere to local and international law.
  • Working closely with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet the needs of all existing and potential customers, drive contract negotiations and proposal development.
  • Representing World View Indo-Pacific at industry events, trade shows, and government meetings to enhance our brand visibility.
  • Articulating our value story, technology, and product positioning to both business and technical users
  • Monitoring geopolitical and industry trends to anticipate opportunities and risks for business growth.
  • The role comes with the expectation of domestic and international travel to support business development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, sales, or government relations across multiple sectors covering both government and commercial.
  • Demonstrated experience selling to defence and government agencies, with ideally an established network in Asia.
  • Strong understanding of defence procurement cycles, government contracting processes, and regulatory frameworks in the region.
  • Excellent and demonstrated negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work across cultures and navigate complex political and business environments.
