About the role

  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors within an assigned region to increase financial support.
  • Strengthen engagement and cultivate new major gift opportunities.
  • Deliver on an annual fundraising plan aligned with team strategy.
  • Implement donor development strategies through personalized engagement.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned donors and execute individualized engagement plans.
  • Research donor history, giving capacity, and demographic information to build comprehensive donor profiles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coordinated donor engagement.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate prospects for major gifts and planned giving.
  • Develop and implement moves management strategies for major donors.
  • Prepare and present proposals, impact reports, and progress updates to donors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Communications, Marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Fundraising, Donor Relations is required.
  • CFRE is CCNL certification is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the Reformed faith and tradition as practiced by the CRCNA.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining church or donor relationships within a faith-based nonprofit or ministry setting.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a multi-task environment.
  • Proficient with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft 365 or similar collaboration tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans while achieving measurable goals.
  • Able to travel internationally for up to one or two consecutive weeks.
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of donor information.
