About the role
- Identify, target, and acquire new merchant partners across verticals with strong revenue potential.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle: outreach, pitch, negotiation, contract execution, and onboarding initiation.
- Partner with Marketing to generate campaigns and materials that support lead generation and prospect conversion.
- Represent Wolfe in external meetings, events, and conferences, including in-person visits with prospects.
- Track and manage pipeline metrics, deal velocity, and conversion rates to meet quarterly and annual targets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth handoff of new clients and alignment on partnership goals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and merchant needs.
- Provide regular reporting on performance, pipeline status, and revenue progress to leadership.
- Close 4 High Value Merchants within first 6 months that will drive $10M per year in Revenue.
- Lead marketing efforts to drive both awareness and conversion.
- Track outreach in hubspot and report weekly on progress vs goal for each stage of the funnel.
- Achieve at least 5 tradeshows or industry events in the first 6 months.
- Travel 30%+ of time to face-to-face meetings with prospects.
- Manage relationships with new merchant clients through onboarding process and ensure seamless handoff to Client Success while achieving 90%+ on time launches.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships, ideally in gifting, payments, loyalty, or eCommerce.
- Proven success in building a pipeline and closing deals with senior decision-makers.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic and data-driven mindset with a hands-on, do-what-it-takes attitude.
- Ability to travel and meet with prospective partners in person 40%+ of the time.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with digital gift card systems, loyalty programs, or merchant platforms is a plus.
