About the role
- Responsible for leading all business development activities for Pro Audio Visual product sales and services in the hospitality market, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, casinos, and other hospitality-focused venues.
- This role drives the strategic and tactical direction needed to grow Almo ProAV’s presence in the hospitality sector.
- Implement regional sales plans, lead Sales Directors and Account Managers, and support the growth and profitability of hospitality accounts nationwide.
- Translate the channel head’s direction into a vision and execution strategy tailored to the hospitality industry.
- Build senior-level partnerships with hospitality clients and vendor partners, fostering collaboration between Almo’s field sales team and vendor outside sales forces to expand market share in hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
- Stay current on hospitality market trends and customer requirements, adapting sales campaigns and ensuring consistent application across the sales organization.
- Represent Almo ProAV at hospitality and ProAV industry events, strengthening the company’s visibility and relationships in this market.
- Influence internal stakeholders, vendor partners, and external resources to overcome obstacles and achieve growth objectives in the hospitality segment.
- Build and lead a regional sales team—including Directors, Sales Leaders, and Account Managers—focused on revenue growth and market penetration within hospitality.
- Coach, mentor, and develop sales leaders, acting as a role model for hospitality sales approaches and account leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of diversified sales leadership experience, with significant exposure to the hospitality sector (hotel groups, restaurant chains, casinos, or related industries).
- Proven ability to build, lead, and scale sales teams in hospitality-focused markets.
- Strong track record of developing and maintaining relationships with hospitality executives, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Ability to integrate hospitality client needs with internal processes and vendor strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Customer-centric approach, with the ability to drive loyalty and long-term hospitality partnerships.
- Experience managing both long-cycle hospitality projects (e.g., hotel builds/renovations) and shorter transactional opportunities.
- Sound analysis and decision-making skills with a firm grasp of metrics, reporting, and accountability standards.
- Ability to multi-task, exceed customer expectations, and maintain responsiveness in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Requires approximately 30% travel.
