About the role

  • Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports
  • Coordinates the implementation of accounting control
  • Prepares journal entries for entry into the general ledger system monthly by collecting necessary data, analyzing and/or allocating costs
  • Prepares audit trail support for the journal entries
  • Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; analyzes accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals
  • Collects and analyzes financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements and reports
  • Participates in monthly financial meetings for discussion and review of monthly financial reports
  • Assists with the preparation of year-end closings
  • Prepares annual long-term and short-term financial statements in compliance with accounting guidelines and U.S. GAAP
  • Assists in the preparation of working papers for annual audit
  • Helps maintain strong internal controls over fixed assets and parts inventory through timely documentation and reconciliation activities
  • Acts transparently, owns mistakes, and leverages failures as catalysts for growth
  • Ensures financial reporting integrity through timely and accurate monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Fosters a collaborative team environment through genuine engagement and trust‑building behaviors

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (accredited) in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of relevant experience (in addition to education requirement)
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
