Accountant

• Perform monthly consolidation of subledger activity.
• Assist in month-end closing and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare necessary journal entries for properly stated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Work with cost center owners to ensure accurate results and understand and address forecast variances.
• Communicate and summarize results through written and oral communications as needed.

Senior Accountant

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and authorization in compliance with company policies.
• Perform 3-way matching (purchase order, receipt, and invoice) to ensure the accuracy of payments.
• Support review and approval of employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
• Support recurring tasks around the Corporate Credit Card and Pcard program.
• Ensure proper accruals and accounting entries are recorded for unpaid invoices at month-end.
• Assist with the documentation, testing, and evaluation of internal controls within the accounts payable process as part of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts.
• Ensure all AP processes comply with internal control standards, providing support during annual SOX testing and addressing any identified control weaknesses.
• Collaborate with internal audit and external auditors to provide relevant documentation and resolve audit findings related to AP processes.
• Support external auditors by preparing schedules and reports for the periodic audits.
• Provide auditors with necessary documentation and explanations to substantiate AP balances, payments, and vendor-related records.
• Maintain and update the vendor master database, ensuring accuracy of contact information, payment terms, and tax information (e.g., W-9/W-8).
• Review vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure that payments are made within agreed-upon terms.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline AP workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Apply lean principles to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable process, such as automating invoice processing or improving communication with vendors.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department.
• Assist with the preparation of AP-related financial reports, including accounts payable aging, cash flow forecasts, and month-end accruals.
• Analyze AP aging reports and identify overdue payments or discrepancies, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve.
• Provide support in cash management by forecasting cash needs and assisting with vendor payment scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales tax, withholding tax, and 1099 reporting.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies, including payment authorization procedures and spending limits.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, ensuring the company remains in good standing with local, state, and federal tax authorities.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing AP-related journal entries during the month-end and year-end close process.
• Help reconcile AP accounts, ensuring accurate balances are reported in financial statements.
• Review and resolve any discrepancies or reconciling items between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.

Accounts Payable Accountant

• Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly close processes including preparation of journal entries
• Review expenses at a cost center level for accuracy and understanding of key trends
• Involved in all aspects of the External and Internal audit activities
• Perform analysis as well as assist in reviewing or enhancing analysis and analytical processes and controls
• Participate in various department-wide initiatives
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization to help review, analyze and implement standards that directly affect the expense reporting system
• Ensure Balance Sheet accounts are properly calculated, supported, and reconciled
• Complete other accounting duties as assigned including ad hoc projects

Senior Corporate Accountant

• Initiate general ledger file maintenance so that financial statement presentations will be accurate and meaningful.
• Reconcile accounts, review reconciliations, and make sure that all outstanding items are properly cleared.
• Prepare special studies and reports for departments and organizations as required.
• Prepare journal entries and other adjustments to correct errors.
• Analyze budget requests and explain any budgetary changes resulting from increased costs or changes in programs.
• Consolidate accounting information for use in accounting statements and summaries.
• Review expenditures against budget and make necessary reconciliations, investigations, and correcting entries.

Senior GSD Accountant

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting for assigned grants
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements, AmeriCorps regulations, OMB/2 CFR200, GAAP, FASB standards, applicable laws, and internal controls
• Produce timely and accurate invoices for assigned grants
• Maintain knowledge base of grant requirements
• Monitor budget-to-actual performance for assigned grants
• Prepare grant expenditure reports for government, corporate, and foundation grants
• Review grant allocations for alignment with spend-down strategies
• Verify accuracy of grant revenue and expenses

• Manage the preparation, review, and timely filing of multi-state sales and use tax returns
• Reconcile sales tax accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Research and interpret state and local tax laws to ensure compliance and identify potential savings opportunities
• Maintain exemption certificate records and respond to customer and auditor requests
• Partner with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Operations to ensure tax is applied correctly on invoices and purchases
• Support sales tax audits by gathering documentation and preparing responses

Sales Tax Accountant III

• Process and record daily bank transactions, ensuring accurate and timely bank accounting for Lithuanian and foreign entities.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations, identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
• Manage accounts payable: receive, verify, and process supplier invoices, ensure proper approvals, and execute timely payments.
• Manage accounts receivable: issue invoices to customers, monitor incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
