About the role
- Responds same day to customer sales and cancellation requests for Inside Sales Channel
- Sell, save, secure and convert customers through telephone-based negotiation and education of contract details
- Resolve escalations and work with Market Area Sales Manager to resolve unique customer issues
- Drive revenue growth and reduce lost accounts via consultative selling and retention strategies
- Match WM services to customer needs; prepare complex proposals and recommend equipment optimization and leasing options
- Use WM sales productivity tools and update/secure customer service agreements
- Propose compliant customer solutions and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Remote work with occasional customer facility, corporate office, airport, and hotel settings
Requirements
- Must live and work in the US
- Candidate must live within 50 miles of the Phoenix business unit (internal employees from Tupelo, MS; Coraopolis, PA; Lombard, IL eligible)
- High school diploma or GED (accredited) and one year of relevant work experience
- One (1) year of consumer-based industry sales experience
- Nine (9) months of proven success in a position involving customer interaction (internal requirement)
- Proficient with computer and sales software (Prospect and Customer Database, Proposal Program, Pricing Tools, Genesys, Green Pages)
- Strong negotiation, consultative selling, relationship building, communication, decision-making and time-management skills
- Ability to diffuse cancellation requests and handle escalations
- Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory compliance for customer solutions
