About the role

  • Lead and scale the company’s global fiat operations across all products and payment flows—ensuring operational resilience, partner governance, fund flow control, inventory management, and scalable process architecture to support rapid business growth.
  • End-to-end ownership of fiat operations—Full operational ownership across all fiat products (accounts, IBANs, SWIFT transfers, SEPA/FPS, card issuing and acceptance, and local payment rails).
  • Clear accountability across inbound and outbound fund flows.
  • Ensure operational continuity under rapid growth conditions.
  • Operational management of key partners, including; Banking partners (IBAN providers, safeguarding banks, SWIFT partners), Card schemes, BIN sponsors, card processor, personalization bureaus and delivery partners, Acquirers and card acceptance partners, Payment service providers and liquidity partners.
  • Ensure stability and predictability of daily funds movement.
  • Maintain strict reconciliation discipline across all partners.
  • Ensure audit readiness and institutional-level documentation.
  • Ensure accurate daily reconciliation of all fiat flows.
  • Monitor liquidity exposure across multiple partners and regions.
  • Identify operational cost drivers and inefficiencies.
  • Establish strong controls around safeguarding and client fund separation.
  • Redesign the operational model to support significant volume growth without linear headcount expansion—smart growth.
  • Implement measurable KPIs across all operational domains.
  • Reduce manual processes through automation and system controls.
  • Ensure Operations are involved early in product launches and expansion initiatives.
  • Full control over operational stock: card inventory (virtual and physical), packaging materials, distribution logistics.
  • Forecast demand in line with commercial projections.
  • Prevent shortages, overstocking, or operational bottlenecks.
  • Maintain proper tracking and accountability for all physical assets.
  • Build early-warning indicators for operational stress or failure.
  • Maintain strong incident management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with scheme, banking, and regulatory operational requirements.
  • Reduce key-person dependency within the function.
  • Build and lead a high-performance Operations team, fostering a results-driven culture with clear KPIs and succession planning.
  • Develop internal talent and support continuous professional growth to expand team capabilities.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in payments, fintech, banking operations, or financial infrastructure.
  • Proven exposure to managing complex partner ecosystems (banks, schemes, PSPs, acquirers).
  • Deep understanding of fiat payment flows and operational risk.
  • Experience scaling operational processes in a growth environment.
  • Strong control mindset with ability to introduce structure without bureaucracy.
  • Data-driven approach and comfort working with operational metrics.
  • Structured Communication & Stakeholder Management.
