Financial Crime

• Conduct AML and financial crime investigations and prepare internal suspicious transaction reports (STRs)
• Review and support the escalation of alerts relating to adverse media, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and sanctions screening
• Perform ongoing customer monitoring activities, including enhanced due diligence (EDD) and periodic customer reviews
• Undertake transaction monitoring and investigations across both fiat and crypto products
• Support transaction testing, data validation, and the ongoing enhancement and optimisation of transaction monitoring systems, scenarios, and rules
• Collaborate closely with colleagues across the APAC and Global Risk & Compliance teams
• Provide operational support to the Director of Financial Crime, APAC Head of Compliance, and APAC MLROs on ongoing projects
• Carry out other duties as reasonably assigned, consistent with the nature and level of the role

Financial Crime Analyst – APAC

• Create and sustain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment with open communication and clear expectations.
• Set clear objectives, allocate work effectively, and manage priorities and deadlines across the team.
• Lead by example by participating in and supporting complex AML, CFT, and fraud investigations across fiat and crypto products.
• Apply and oversee the use of fraud rules, monitoring thresholds, and investigative tools in line with approved frameworks.
• Review, challenge, and approve STRs prior to escalation to the STRO, ensuring regulatory quality and consistency.
• Oversee ongoing AML monitoring activities, including enhanced due diligence (EDD), source of funds (SoF), and source of wealth (SoW) assessments.
• Support transaction testing, data validation, and the ongoing enhancement of transaction monitoring systems, scenarios, and controls.
• Review and contribute to compliance and financial crime training materials to support staff awareness and capability.
• Identify gaps or weaknesses in current processes, policies, or controls, and work collaboratively to implement remediation and process improvements.
• Analyse internal and external STR data to identify emerging trends and risks, presenting insights to the Financial Crime Compliance Committee to support risk mitigation.
• Produce regular MI for the investigations function, highlighting volumes, trends, backlogs, capacity constraints, and resourcing needs.
• Actively listen to team feedback, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and escalating issues where appropriate.
• Provide support to the Financial Crime Operations Manager on projects, regulatory initiatives, and ad hoc requests.

Financial Crime Team Leader – APAC

Community Manager

• Help manage day-to-day moderation and engagement across Discord, Telegram, and Reddit (potential to expand)
• Represent Wirex in community spaces with a professional, approachable, and consistent tone of voice
• Respond to user questions, concerns, and feedback clearly and efficiently
• Handle sensitive or high-pressure conversations with sound judgement and professionalism
• Create and publish engaging community content, including announcements, prompts, polls, and discussion starters
• Support community growth initiatives and engagement experiments with creative, out-of-the-box thinking
• Manage and support the use of community bots on Discord and Telegram for moderation, onboarding, and engagement
• Identify recurring issues, emerging trends, and community sentiment, escalating insights internally when needed
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Support teams to ensure consistent and accurate communication
• Help foster an inclusive, respectful, and well-moderated environment across all community channels
• Produce weekly community reports, covering engagement levels, sentiment, key themes, recurring issues, and actionable insights
