About the role

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships within the existing supply chain; consultants, design houses and the operational and purchasing teams of our customer base
  • Managing and developing key distributors in the North of England
  • Meeting pre-defined and agreed sales targets across distinctive category groups
  • Assisting distributors with training and site surveys
  • Identifying new distributors, group accounts and developing sales plans
  • Maintaining and utilization of CRM (SAP)
  • Striving to meet agreed KPIs, SLA’s and margin growth
  • Supporting the overall success of the regional sales team through mentoring, collaboration and teamwork
  • Effectively communicating activity performance levels within the UK sales operation and to HQ
  • Ensuring that all pricing and ancillary costs are correct and up to date
  • Collating and maintaining accurate CRM data in line with GDPR guidelines
  • Actively exploiting CRM intelligence to maximize sales opportunities

Requirements

  • Proven experience within the foodservice industry
  • Strong understanding of the UK catering equipment distributor network
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a logical career path in senior sales management
  • Understanding the dynamics of key relationships and customer touchpoints within the UK supply chain
  • Clear understanding of the politics and commercial relationships within the UK foodservice market
  • Understanding of functional and ergonomic kitchen layouts
  • Sound working knowledge of CRM systems
