About the role

  • Own the end-to-end user experience, turning complex problems into intuitive, accessible, and visually polished solutions
  • Lead design from research and discovery through prototyping, high-fidelity execution, and final delivery
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems
  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and use analytics to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to shape the roadmap and deliver impact
  • Champion user-first thinking across the organization and influence product strategy
  • Iterate and innovate through rapid testing and continuous improvement in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Contribute to team processes, rituals, portfolio reviews, and help raise design standards

Requirements

  • Experienced designer with the ability to execute on all phases of the design process
  • Thrives when working on ambiguous problems and exploring multiple solution paths
  • Passionate about accessible, user-centred design
  • Turns research into meaningful experiences; conducts interviews, surveys, and usability tests
  • Uses research and analytics to guide strategic design choices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to cross-functional teams
  • Entrepreneurial ownership mentality with a drive to push boundaries and improve processes
  • Outcome-focused: validation, iteration, and simplifying complexity
  • Legally able to work in Canada
