About the role

  • Select, activate and develop new VMware Cloud partners in Germany and Switzerland.
  • Build a VMware Cloud partner network and define go-to-market strategies to recruit new partners.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and organize marketing activities.
  • Support newly onboarded partners in business development and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Share sales plans and regularly review development progress and implement corrective measures.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent qualification and at least 5 years of professional experience in the VMware channel business.
  • Solid background in partnership development and indirect sales.
  • Experience in direct sales and knowledge of cloud and cybersecurity services are an advantage.
  • Relevant expertise in one of the following markets: telecommunications, system integrator, software house, cloud service provider or data center.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret partner and customer needs and develop individual growth plans.
  • Strong team skills and excellent written and spoken German and English.
  • Willingness to travel—primarily within Germany, but also to Switzerland and Italy (up to 50%).
