About the role

  • Design and lead the product roadmap and strategy for Ads & Promos tools, balancing short and long-term goals.
  • Engage regularly as a trusted advisor with leadership to understand their strategies, pain points, and priorities to inform product strategy, while providing transparency into roadmaps and managing expectations.
  • Roll up your sleeves to define product requirements & work with engineering, design and broader team to bring our roadmap to market at lightning speed.
  • Deeply understand and own the Ads & Promos ecosystem that include seller budgeting strategies, ROI/ROAS, attribution, pricing, auction dynamics, and best practices to inform product strategy and execution.
  • Drive development of core ad systems including ad ranking algorithms, bidding, targeting engines, pricing mechanisms, and impression supply forecasting.
  • Deliver actionable metrics & dashboards to help sellers adopt & optimize marketing spend across Ads & Promos.
  • Lead global expansion of Ads & Promos tools, with emphasis on adoption and ease-of-use.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a focus on ads or monetization
  • Experience working in the ads (e.g. native advertising) and/or promotions (e.g. Coupons, Incentives, etc) domain, especially in an ecommerce marketplace.
  • Experience leveraging AI and ML to build products that deliver outsized impact for users/marketers. Comfortable designing for real-time systems like streaming data pipelines, event-driven triggers, and live experimentation environments.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, identify trade-offs, and make decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven ability to develop sound research methodologies and collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Experienced in design, and hypothesis driven product development.
  • Deep empathy for users and a passion for delivering outstanding user experiences.
  • Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, or Los Angeles, CA hubs.
