About the role
- Own the end-to-end management of WEP Clinical’s website, including information architecture, content, performance, UX, and ongoing optimization.
- Maintain, update, and govern website content using WordPress, ensuring accuracy, consistency, responsiveness, and alignment with brand guidelines and healthcare industry standards.
- Plan and execute a strategic roadmap of website improvements across navigation, page layouts, visuals, content structure, and technical performance.
- Lead the visual design and user experience of the website, designing page layouts, landing pages, and visual components (e.g., hero sections, imagery, icons) that reflect a professional, modern brand.
- Ensure website content is clear, scannable, and conversion-focused, with strong messaging, logical hierarchy, and effective calls to action across all pages.
- Coordinate with external developers and contractors to deliver complex technical updates, enhancements, and integrations as required.
- Lead keyword, topic, and competitor research aligned to WEP’s services and therapeutic focus areas, leveraging SEO platforms such as Semrush.
- Implement and manage on-page and technical SEO best practices, including metadata, internal linking, structured data, site architecture, page speed, crawlability, redirects, and XML sitemaps.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to plan, structure, and optimize content for performance across traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.
- Set up, maintain, and monitor analytics and tracking tools (e.g., GA4, Google Search Console), defining and tracking key performance metrics including traffic, engagement, conversions, and bounce rates.
- Analyze performance data, conduct A/B or multivariate testing on key pages and elements, and deliver actionable insights and regular reporting against agreed targets.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Business Development, and Service Line Leads to translate commercial and campaign objectives into effective web pages, landing experiences, and event or campaign support.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years’ experience managing and optimizing websites in an in-house or agency environment
- Hands-on experience with WordPress CMS
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and how search engines evaluate content
- Practical experience using Semrush or similar SEO platforms
- Strong visual design and UX sensibility, with experience applying brand guidelines to web layouts
- Ability to interpret analytics data (e.g. GA4, Google Search Console) and translate insights into actions
- Comfortable writing or editing website copy, including headlines, CTAs, and page structure
- Sufficient technical literacy to work with HTML/CSS, manage plugins, and collaborate effectively with developers
- Experience in B2B, healthcare, life sciences, biotech, CRO, or pharmaceutical environments preferred
