Software Engineer

• The objective of the thesis is to investigate and develop an approach for a digital twin in the context of software products.
• Create a concept for using digital twins to optimize, monitor, or simulate software products.
• State-of-the-art research and technology analysis, including examination of existing methods and technologies.
• Develop an approach for digital twins of software products, including conceptualization, architecture, and technical implementation options.
• Prototype implementation: develop a functional prototype, implement and test the prototype based on defined use cases.
• Validation and evaluation: define evaluation criteria for the digital twin and compare the prototype with existing solutions or scenarios.

Thesis – Design and Development of a Digital Twin for Software Products, Software Development

Procurement

• Analysis of current demand for prototype printed circuit boards (PCBs) in electronics development
• Research and evaluation of procurement options (prototype manufacturers, volume suppliers, rapid delivery services, etc.)
• Comparison of lead times, costs and technical capabilities of different suppliers
• Development of decision criteria for when each type of procurement is appropriate
• Investigation of ways to accelerate the ordering process (e.g., through tools, platforms, automated requests)
• Preparation of a recommendation or guide for efficient prototype procurement

• Develop a web application for analysis and visualization of sensor test data
• Link test data with machine and process data
• Analyze platform requirements regarding visualization, data analysis and data integration
• Data management: design and implement a data model for processing and storing data
• Implement fundamental analysis functions (e.g., filtering, aggregation, statistical evaluation)
• Develop an intuitive user interface for data visualization and analysis
• System testing & evaluation: test the platform for functionality, performance and usability
