About the role
- Lead complex, high-impact initiatives and serve as a key participant in large-scale strategic planning efforts.
- Provide principal-level strategic consulting services to client organizations.
- Represent Wells Fargo on industry boards and committees.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale, and long-term challenges that require evaluating multiple, and sometimes unprecedented, factors.
- Manage relationships with key external vendors supporting market and competitive analysis.
- Identify strategic business investments and alliance opportunities.
- Make decisions in complex situations and influence broader teams to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Evaluate and approve processes to address identified opportunities.
- Collaborate strategically with stakeholders at all levels to resolve issues and achieve business objectives.
- Partner with executive leadership across Wells Fargo to define business strategies and create, then execute, corresponding business plans and initiatives.
- Communicate strategy and related business plans to management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Experience conducting competitive analysis, market research, and benchmarking to inform product or business strategy.
- Ability to develop cohesive, data-driven strategic recommendations with strong executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with a premier strategy consulting firm, internal corporate strategy, or strategic roles within Financial Services, FinTech, or BigTech.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- MBA strongly preferred but not required.
- Background in management consulting
