Provide leadership and oversight for major Software Asset Management (SAM) initiatives, including audits, true‑ups, renewals, and remediation projects
Facilitate and support the development or refinement of Asset Management & Compliance processes
Lead Software Asset Management‑related components of enterprise initiatives or projects as the subject matter expert
Research emerging software concepts and share the insights to inform policy, process, and technology decisions
Provide regular dashboard reports and executive summaries on software asset status, compliance risks, and value optimization to IT leadership
Compile, prioritize, schedule, and execute annual software reconciliations and renewals for complex software products
Produce detailed and summary audit reports for completed software reconciliations to maintain readiness for external manufacturer audits
Facilitate and track remediation of non-compliant software findings
Conduct regular audits of prohibited software and coordinate removal actions
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for external software audits, leading all phases of the audit process
Interpret complex software usage data, entitlements, and licensing terms to support informed decision‑making
Manage licensing and subscription models for cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, etc.) and AI solutions

Requirements

University degree in IT, Business, or Computing Science or equivalent experience is desirable
Several years of software asset management experience with a focus on software/SaaS licensing
ITIL v4 Foundation or higher (preferred)
Knowledge of IT Asset Management/Software Asset Management standards (e.g. ISO 19770)
Professional Software Asset Management certifications (CSAM, CITAM) strongly preferred
Ability to translate complex licensing concepts into clear, concise language that is easily understood by diverse audiences
Familiarity with relevant compliance standards and regulations (e.g. software license legal terms, software audit practices; public sector procurement rules)
Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools—Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and Teams
Familiarity with BI tools for data analysis and reporting (PowerBI)
Proficiency with software asset management platforms (Ivanti IT Asset Management) and discovery tools (Ivanti End Point Manager, etc.)
Mature decision‑making, analytical problem‑solving, and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and recommend sound actions
Foundational knowledge of project management concepts and techniques; formal training or experience is considered an asset.
