About the role

  • Own end-to-end transportation operations for North America, covering inbound, outbound, and inter-site flows
  • Lead a team responsible for FTL, LTL, Parcel, and fleet shipments, ensuring seamless execution and high service levels
  • Develop and execute carrier sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage carrier relationships
  • Establish rate structures, service commitments, and performance scorecards
  • Oversee shipment creation, carrier selection, and tendering processes using TMS and manual workflows
  • Implement and manage real-time tracking, exception management, and customer communication protocols
  • Lead centralized freight audit and payment processes, ensuring invoice accuracy, dispute resolution, and timely settlement
  • Develop and monitor transportation KPIs (OTD, OTIF, cost per lane, dispute cycle time)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of transportation or logistics management experience, in multi-site manufacturing or distribution environments
  • Expertise in FTL, LTL, Parcel, and fleet operations
  • Strong working knowledge of transportation procurement, freight audit & pay processes, and TMS/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Demonstrated success leading teams that include both direct reports and matrixed site-based personnel
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proven ability to operate in execution-heavy, fast-paced environments.
