About the role
- Responsible for pre-award activities and may assist with post-award activities with supervision/oversight
- Develops metrics and analysis and maintains online database of grants submitted, awarded, rejected, etc.
- Works with PIs to provide fund management and implement necessary budgetary changes
- Approves purchasing documents and provides guidance to purchasing staff on appropriate expenditures according to specific grant policies
- Updates and forecasts grant expenditures for faculty grant portfolios
- Ensures timely implementation of contracts and subcontracts by managing processes and complying with OSRS requirements
- Creates, addresses, and processes correspondence with granting agencies (inquiries, carry forward requests, change in effort requests, no cost extensions, equipment purchases, budget reallocations)
- Obtains signatures and forwards grant financial status reports to PI and senior leadership
- Monitors invoices for outgoing subawards and coordinates support for grant-related information requests
- Responsible for closure of grant accounts and submission of final progress reports and final invention statements when applicable
- Day-to-day management of departmental grant financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, program budgets, revenue reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis
- Oversight of recharge centers and may prepare/send/monitor invoices and reconcile service funds
- May perform Center Grant duties: manage cores/subcores, program income, bridge/seed and institutional funds, provide monthly financial reports, design reporting databases, and serve as liaison for Program Director
- Coordinates Center lectures, forums, workshops, advertising, and participates in Center-related meetings and symposiums
- Performs other duties as assigned; works in normal office environment with typical desk-based physical effort
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Relevant Experience (5 Years)
- Knowledge of SUBS system
- Knowledge of Research Management Services (RMS)
- Knowledge of agency guidelines
