About the role

  • Support and conduct analyses of growth initiatives across CNN’s digital platforms to identify trends and opportunities for optimizing conversion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate hypotheses, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that track key conversion metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct exploratory analyses to uncover friction points in the user experience and support recommendations for improvement.
  • Present findings in clear, concise formats to stakeholders, with guidance from senior analysts and managers.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to ensure data accuracy and scalability of analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in growth or digital media
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Tableau and Looker
  • Familiarity basic growth- and product- analytics concepts such as attribution, funnels, LTV, and cohort analysis
  • Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for data quality
  • Curiosity about digital product performance and user behavior, with a strong interest in understanding what drives direct-to-consumer growth and conversion
  • Exposure to digital subscription businesses or media industry (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Experience with statistical programming languages (Python, R) (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Basic familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experimental design (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts such as correlation, probability distributions, statistical significance, hypothesis testing (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.) (Nice-to-Haves)
