About the role
- Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Communications
- Leading media relations and external communications projects across the corporate team
- Supporting corporate communications activities to advance corporate voice and narrative
- Developing and executing communication strategies related to corporate, crisis, and policy communications and media relations
- Interfacing with leaders internally and influential reporters
- Staying current on developments affecting the company and its industry
- Identifying compelling data and storylines
- Strong writing skills for materials including press releases, blog posts, media briefing documents, talking points, and research documents
Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience in communications, either in-house or agency
- Excellent writing skills and significant media relations experience
- Corporate communications experience
- Ability to work on confidential projects with discretion
- Proven ability to deliver communications in fast-paced, highly dynamic environments
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting effectively with executives and teams enterprise-wide
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across a global company
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential projects
- Willingness to take on greater responsibilities and grow in the role
- Availability to travel and work nights/weekends as needed
- BA/BS degree in journalism, English, creative writing, communications/public relations or related field required.
