About the role

  • Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Communications
  • Leading media relations and external communications projects across the corporate team
  • Supporting corporate communications activities to advance corporate voice and narrative
  • Developing and executing communication strategies related to corporate, crisis, and policy communications and media relations
  • Interfacing with leaders internally and influential reporters
  • Staying current on developments affecting the company and its industry
  • Identifying compelling data and storylines
  • Strong writing skills for materials including press releases, blog posts, media briefing documents, talking points, and research documents

Requirements

  • 10–12 years of experience in communications, either in-house or agency
  • Excellent writing skills and significant media relations experience
  • Corporate communications experience
  • Ability to work on confidential projects with discretion
  • Proven ability to deliver communications in fast-paced, highly dynamic environments
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting effectively with executives and teams enterprise-wide
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across a global company
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential projects
  • Willingness to take on greater responsibilities and grow in the role
  • Availability to travel and work nights/weekends as needed
  • BA/BS degree in journalism, English, creative writing, communications/public relations or related field required.
