The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers.
You will work closely with the category seller growth teams to assess market opportunities + competitive trends.
Develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts, expand assortment and increase inventory.
Manage the business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability – ensuring our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success.
Create new business opportunities and inventory acquisition strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.
3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace or retail tech.
3-4 years’ experience in Channel Partnerships, Business Management, Product Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
E-commerce experience required.
Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Experience working with eCommerce used and refurbished sellers is a plus.
