About the role

  • Lead and develop store teams to delight members, grow sales, and develop people to reach their full potential
  • Serve as a Culture Champion and model Sam’s Club values, accountability, and community commitment
  • Act as a servant leader demonstrating humility, self-awareness, honesty, and transparency
  • Drive curiosity, continuous improvement, and digital transformation by leveraging new digital tools and ways of working
  • Deliver business results with customer/member focus applying an omni-merchant mindset and the EDLP and EDLC business models
  • Use data, analytics, and customer insights to inform strategy and shape team plans
  • Build collaborative cross-functional relationships and influence to achieve objectives
  • Create discipline around talent management, build high-performing teams, and recognize others’ contributions
  • Oversee Member Experience, Fresh Area, Merchandising, Fulfillment, and Freight Flow roles

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience with 6 months' supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 1 year's SAM'S Club experience; OR 3 years’ military experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Environmental Compliance or related field (preferred)
  • Retail profit and loss statement management experience (preferred)
  • Warehouse experience with cold chain compliance (preferred)
  • Compliance with Walmart's drug-free workplace and no tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol on the job
