About the role
- Define and lead Walmart's tech partnerships aligned to product and enterprise strategy.
- Identify and evaluate high impact opportunities across the tech ecosystem.
- Conduct market analysis, tech diligence, and financial modeling to inform partner vs buy/build decisions.
- Develop exec-ready recommendations.
- Influence senior leadership on strategic direction.
- Lead end to end deal execution from exploratory discussions through term sheets and full contract negotiation and execution.
- Structure complex agreements involving IP, data rights, co-development, platform integrations and commercialization models.
- Build scalable and durable deal constructs.
- Serve as a central point across named strategic partners.
- Build durable relationships across the tech ecosystem.
- Drive co-build initiatives across APIs, data integrations, infrastructure and experiences.
- Establish governance and metric frameworks to ensure long term value creation.
- Align internal stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, Search, Personalization, Ads, Walmart+, Payments and Enterprise teams.
- Remove execution barriers and drive accountability across internal and external partners.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships.
- 4+ years of experience negotiating and managing the implementation and execution of term sheets and signed agreements with partners.
- Background in retail, commerce platforms, advertising technology, or consumer ecosystems.
- Direct experience working on partner technology integrations and experiences on 3P platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, manage complex partner relationships, and drive adoption of new products and features.
- Experience working, negotiating with and presenting to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative, business or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Working at/ with hyper-scalers, foundation model providers, big tech or AI-native startups.
