About the role
- Lead the end-to-end collections process for all advertiser and agency accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding balances.
- Develop and implement differentiated collection strategies for various customer segments (agencies, suppliers, sellers, non-endemic advertisers).
- Monitor AR aging reports and coordinate with Sales, Client Services, and Billing teams to address delinquent accounts.
- Identify high-risk customers, escalate appropriately, and recommend campaign pause actions when necessary.
- Establish and maintain regular cadence reviews with internal partners to drive accountability on open receivables.
- Establish and maintain ways of working with the Enterprise AR and Cash team to fully utilize their support.
- Partner with the EBS Cash Application team to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments to advertiser accounts.
- Oversee reconciliation of customer payments, unapplied cash, and credit memos to maintain clean AR ledgers.
- Ensure proper documentation and internal controls around refunds, write-offs, and credit adjustments.
- Collaborate with the Invoicing & Dispute Resolution team to resolve payment delays caused by billing discrepancies or credit disputes.
- Produce and present collections dashboards, DSO trends, and bad debt analyses for leadership and cross functional partners.
Requirements
- Master or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or data analytics related areas.
- 8+ years' experience in different aspects of billing functions or accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of experience leading teams.
- Proven experience in system automation, data analysis, and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
- Experience with ERP or billing systems; strong data reconciliation and variance analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of audit and control frameworks (SOX, internal control testing, compliance reviews).
- Strong ability to execute, measure results, and demonstrate progress in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Experience leading changes, process transformation, and scaling operational infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management at executive levels.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Finance and Legal to identify requirements in tools, dashboards, and access to data to maximize performance and efficiency.
- Ability to earn trust across Walmart Enterprise.
