About the role

  • The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers.
  • You will work closely with the category seller growth teams to assess market opportunities + competitive trends and develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts, expand assortment and increase inventory.
  • This role is focused on recruiting the top eCommerce Marketplace sellers.
  • You will manage the business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability – ensuring our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace or retail tech.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in Channel Partnerships, Business Management, Product Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
  • E-commerce experience required.
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Experience working with eCommerce used and refurbished sellers is a plus.
