About the role
- The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for recruiting and launching our next generation of Marketplace sellers.
- You will work closely with the category seller growth teams to assess market opportunities + competitive trends and develop acquisition strategies to attract new accounts, expand assortment and increase inventory.
- This role is focused on recruiting the top eCommerce Marketplace sellers.
- You will manage the business development lifecycle from sourcing to transactability – ensuring our new sellers are fully equipped for immediate success.
Requirements
- 3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace or retail tech.
- 3-4 years’ experience in Channel Partnerships, Business Management, Product Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
- E-commerce experience required.
- Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Experience working with eCommerce used and refurbished sellers is a plus.
