About the role

  • Analyze traffic logs to detect anomalous or bot activity, account takeover attempts, and fraud patterns
  • Evaluate key metrics, alerts, and dashboards to assess security posture and identify trends
  • Proactively hunt for bot and fraud signals using data-driven methods
  • Design, implement, and optimize bot mitigation controls across Walmart’s global eCommerce footprint
  • Manage bot traffic behavior during large-scale events (e.g., hype drops, flash sales, holidays)
  • Build and enhance dashboards, alerts, and operational visibility tools
  • Lead or contribute to incident investigations and root-cause analyses (RCA)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with site reliability, fraud, and product teams to continuously refine detection and classification logic

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience in information security or site reliability
  • 2 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company, or 4 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area
  • Certification in Security+, GISF, GSEC, CISSP, or CCSP preferred
  • Experience with bot management platforms
  • Familiarity with behavioral analytics, machine learning, or risk scoring systems
  • Understanding of CDN, WAF, and edge security architectures
  • Prior exposure to large-scale production environments or eCommerce platforms
