About the role
- Join the Construction team to improve infrastructure in the Taylor office
- Interpret project plans and specifications
- Conduct field inspections and maintain work item quantities
- Conduct field or laboratory material tests
- Maintain project files and record drawings
- Prepare construction reports and project status reports
- Perform soil erosion control and sediment control inspections
- Review technical data for adherence with project requirements
- Assist with preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Assist with/review scope, budget and schedule of new project tasks
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and assist Project Managers
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings (plan review, preconstruction, client progress, etc.)
- Attend seminars and training classes
- Maintain excellent client relations and a safe working environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
- 0 to 4 years of related experience
- A valid driver's license required
- MDOT experience is highly preferred
- Self-motivated
- Able to work well with others
