Prepares scaled work order maps using Computer Aided Design software (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and other client design systems.
Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
Monitor task budget and progress
Conduct on-site observations as needed
Maintain multiple project assignments
Verify field survey notes
Prepare project status and other reports
Assist Project Managers
Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
Attend seminars and/or training classes
Maintain excellent client relations
Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential.
