About the role
- As a member of the Signaling & Systems Product Management team, you will be responsible for managing the TCOS product portfolio, focused on CAD, CIS, BOS, SSMC, and various common products, with respect to maintenance contracts, new projects, New Product Initiatives, and the overall product roadmap. Create, maintain, and execute a clear direction for the products and associated subsystems. Work with Engineering, Sales, and Project organizations to create value propositions for the existing products and propose innovative solutions to grow the Dispatch market. Learn customer challenges through discovery and VOC and help shape the customers’ vision. Interact with Engineering with a clear and descriptive set of requirements captured as user stories and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt. Engage Engineering team with respect to product development efforts. Engage customers with respect to product issues, concerns, and product roadmap considerations. Work with sales and align the operations with the opportunities pipeline. Engage and address critical regulatory contacts. Plan and participate in key industry events such as APTA, IEEE, AREMA, RSSI. Assess key product related issues and help the PM team prioritize development initiatives and release plans. Build product value proposition with all external and internal stake holders. Work with various operating regions to establish priorities on development needs. Work with other Product Managers within S&S and across DI for benchmarking, integration, and solution creation. Assess RFP and technical requirements to determine value proposition, risks, and overall alignment to the product roadmap. Proactive customer engagement to assess customer satisfaction and escalation for critical issues. Creating growth opportunities.
Requirements
- You must have: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, product management, or closely related degree Minimum of 8 years of Product Management experience, preferably in software solutions Experience in software development lifecycle Rail industry experience Fluency in English. Excellent communication, strategy, financial, negotiation, and presentation skills.
