Promote and implement company safety objectives and a comprehensive safety culture
Conduct job site inspections and identify conditions which create hazards for workers and the public
Communicate safety performance to project leaders and provide recommendations for improvement
Identify project trends and execute proactive safety initiatives to eliminate incidents
Assist with incident investigations and act as a resource to project teams
Coordinate and implement safety trainings and employee onboarding
Mentor project staff and collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent implementation of safety programs across projects
Participate in risk management activities, audits, safety trends reviews, lessons learned, and departmental strategy development
Implement corporate and project level safety initiatives and continuous program improvement efforts
Assure compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health or equivalent professional experience demonstrating the required knowledge and skills.
3-5 years of construction safety experience, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
Very strong work ethic with the willingness to travel to jobsites and conduct field-based work
Capable to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
