About the role

  • Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based applications hosted on AWS
  • Implement AWS-managed services, container orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (CDK or Terraform)
  • Develop Python-based automation and contribute to DevOps pipelines
  • Interface with relational and non-relational data sources and integrate various data sources
  • Contribute to building scalable cloud solutions and support DevOps automation practices
  • Work hybrid schedule, approximately 2–3 days per week on-site at Fort Meade, MD
  • Collaborate with IT team and stakeholders to manage critical infrastructure

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of professional experience supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of web-based applications hosted on AWS
  • Experience implementing AWS-managed services (AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Amazon ECS / EKS)
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Python for scripting and automation
  • JavaScript/TypeScript preferred
  • CI/CD practices, automated testing, and deployment automation
  • Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases
  • API/interface development for data integration
  • Web application development and cloud-native architecture experience
  • Full-stack development experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Active Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Security Clearance required
  • Must be able to work approximately 2–3 days per week on-site in Fort Meade, MD
