About the role

  • Deliver second-line technical support for customer optical services.
  • Perform proactive and reactive fault management and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities for knowledge bases and processes.
  • Represent the team in internal and external forums, including direct customer engagement for incident management and service reviews.
  • Drive resolution of technical escalations and lead best practices for owned platforms and systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecommunications with strong knowledge of Vodafone fixed networks.
  • Expertise in Ciena Optical Products and Platforms (6500, 5410, Waveserver) and OneControl/MCP NMS.
  • Strong understanding of OTN DWDM and SDH technologies.
  • Analytical problem solver with a proactive, self-starting approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and manage complex issues effectively.
  • HNC or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential.
