About the role
- Deliver second-line technical support for customer optical services.
- Perform proactive and reactive fault management and troubleshooting.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities for knowledge bases and processes.
- Represent the team in internal and external forums, including direct customer engagement for incident management and service reviews.
- Drive resolution of technical escalations and lead best practices for owned platforms and systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecommunications with strong knowledge of Vodafone fixed networks.
- Expertise in Ciena Optical Products and Platforms (6500, 5410, Waveserver) and OneControl/MCP NMS.
- Strong understanding of OTN DWDM and SDH technologies.
- Analytical problem solver with a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and manage complex issues effectively.
- HNC or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential.
