About the role

  • Act as the first point of contact for automation-related queries, resolving or escalating issues promptly.
  • Support the smooth running of automation tools and scripts to minimise disruptions.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to gather requirements, document processes, and identify automation opportunities.
  • Assist in testing, deploying, and monitoring new and existing automation workflows to ensure they meet operational and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of automation assets, changes, and incident records.
  • Contribute to user guides, training materials, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Participate in process reviews and suggest improvements aligned with digital transformation objectives.
  • Demonstrate continuous learning and adaptability to new automation tools and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 7–8 years of experience supporting automation, scripting, or digital tooling.
  • Proficiency in Python, including experience with libraries such as pexpect; familiarity with Bash, PowerShell, or Java is desirable.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, database management, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of IP and transmission networking; Network+ or CCNA certification is advantageous.
  • Exposure to DevOps or software engineering environments is beneficial.
  • Analytical mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work 9 AM–5 PM UK hours.
