About the role
- Responsibility for solving Incident and Request which includes Linux OS system structures
- Designing, planning , executing technology refresh & consolidation tasks and supporting a mixed environment of Linux system
- Performs troubleshooting, incident and error handling for systems
- Implementing change management processes and user requests on systems
- Evaluation of new versions, patches, firmwares and security patches. Implementing upgrades and security patches regularly.
- Implementing security policies on servers according to the best practices and company procedures.
- Communicate with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
- Executing and tracking common operations related an operating system like Program execution, I/O operations , File System manipulation, Communication , Error Detection, resource Allocation , Protection
- Perform installation, management, maintenance, and update operations for various applications running on the Linux operating system.
- Planning training to contribute to team development and increase competencies. Expanding operational competencies and integrating them into general operational processes.
Requirements
- University Degree with Electronic, Computer, Telecommunication or Mathematics Engineering
- Minimum 4 years experience of Linux-Based system management
- Experience of Linux Based systems like Redhat, Oracle Linux, Centos, Ubuntu, Debian, Suse Linux Enterprise
- Experience of services and roles of Linux Server like Apache, NGNIX, DNS, DHCP etc
- Experience working in a large, enterprise environment with 1000+ of servers
- Must have excellent working experience with problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis
- Must have excellent working experience administering Linux Server Operating System
- Must have good knowledge of scripting languages like , Python , Bash Script, etc
- Must have good knowledge of Center Management systems like Ansible
- Must have good knowledge of VMWare Virtualization , Storage, SAN, Network and KVM
- Nice to have of Container vs Kubernetes management
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies IaaS – PaaS - SaaS – Multi Cloud – Hybrid Cloud
- Proficient in English with strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Able to translate business and technical requirements
- Military service completed where applicable ( male candidates )
- Team player who performs well under pressure; Red Hat certifications preferred
