About the role
- Engage Client stakeholders to identify systemwide aggregation and standardization categories.
- Support the ongoing development and integration of suppliers and their pricing with customers’ design/construction process from conception, planning, design, construction, and closeout.
- Conduct detailed analyses to generate strategic insight and identify performance improvement opportunities for Clients.
- Establish and maintain relationships with members at various levels including C-suite, supply chain/materials management, facilities, and construction.
- Cultivate and develop both new and existing vendor relationships by understanding the changing marketplace.
- Develop relationships and agreements that can effectively articulate the intent and design to the end user to provide member facilities with savings opportunities.
- Manage the initiatives and programs that are developed to enhance membership compliance with the contract portfolio.
- Design and execute project work plans; provide members with status updates; identify, track, and validate savings.
- Identify regional aggregation opportunities across multiple customers.
- Negotiate regional/customer-specific contracts with vendors.
- Prepare analyses and present recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Relevant degree preferred.
- Degree in architectural/construction management/engineering/business administration/healthcare related fields strongly preferred.
- 5 or more years relevant experience required.
- Experience in consulting and/or analytical experience understanding of both clinical and non-clinical activities and processes within the healthcare industry preferred.
- Experience in architectural/engineering/construction/estimating/medical equipment procurement and logistics required.
- Understanding of healthcare supply chain procurement practices and technology a plus.
- Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications preferred.
- Proficient in the use of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills required.
- Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet Clients’ needs and timetables.
