About the role
- Ensure compliance with all client requirements (SLA / service level);
- Promptly and accurately respond to requests from internal clients;
- Actively participate in the department’s infrastructure projects;
- Responsible for hardware maintenance on physical servers;
- Monitor support tickets with third-party vendors;
- Organize maintenance for the department’s physical equipment;
- Update the Knowledge Base;
- Interact with other problem-solvers;
- Participate in discussion forums to identify and prevent cyberattacks;
- Keep up with ongoing technological advances and drive systematic updates of environments;
- Perform proactive system analysis and tuning;
- Meet the annual goals established between the employee and manager;
- Encourage and stimulate productive discussions among team members.
Requirements
- Proficiency with VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, Oracle SPARC, AIX (LPAR/VIO), Proxmox VE, KVM, Nutanix and Microsoft Hyper-V;
- Experience with infrastructure projects involving virtual and physical servers;
- Proven track record supporting high-availability and mission-critical environments;
- Experience with on-premises and cloud infrastructure;
- Familiarity with Turbonomic;
- Ability to develop a strong sense of ownership and responsibility in daily tasks;
- Familiarity with Power BI, Grafana, vROps, Zabbix, Elasticsearch (Elastic) and Dynatrace;
- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish;
- Certifications related to the technologies listed above are highly desirable.
