About the role

  • Achieve sales targets in both volumes and margin terms; maximize business opportunities and prospect actively.
  • Grow Vivo Energy market share in the defined sector.
  • Develop and maintain long-term commercial relationships with key accounts.
  • Achieve financial, volume and business plan targets for lubricants, fuels, bitumen and associated products and services within defined customer base.
  • Manage trade debts and ensure timely debt collection; reduce DSO to agreed levels.
  • Initiate investment proposals for new projects and ensure business profitability.
  • Establish and regularly update Account Plans with targets, objectives and action plans.
  • Manage development and implementation of marketing propositions and CVPs tailored to customer needs to enhance profitability.
  • Proactively liaise and communicate with all departments (CSC, Distribution, Marketing, Finance, Credit) to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Manage own opex and sector opex within budgets and ensure coordination with Supply and Distribution.
  • Ensure Group HSSE and SGBP standards and processes are applied in all lines of business.
  • Identify and pursue trade-up and cross-sell opportunities; create barriers to entry and grow business in a competitive environment.

Requirements

  • Experience 5 years+ and proven track record of success in Commercial business activities and of leading sales teams.
  • Proven competence in negotiation and dealing with major clients.
  • Need to have good and pragmatic business acumen, good analytical skills and general management ability.
  • Good interpersonal skill for management of both customers and interface with internal functions.
  • Mature, assertive, outgoing, able to work independently under pressure, and like challenge.
