About the role

  • Provide daily support to employees on HR policies and procedures
  • Help maintain positive employee relations by fostering a respectful communication climate
  • Prepare documentation related to stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Ensure accuracy of employee records and HRIS data
  • Contribute to data collection, report production, and preparation of HR metrics and presentations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of HR initiatives
  • Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads and organizing interviews
  • Coordinate onboarding procedures for new hires
  • Provide administrative support for employee benefits programs
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures
  • Organize internal training sessions by scheduling sessions and preparing materials
  • Support initiatives that reinforce company values and enhance the employee experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience in a generalist role
  • Excellent knowledge of Quebec labour standards and employment law
  • Knowledge of key regulations in other Canadian provinces (BC, AB, ON) — an asset
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Professional conduct and discretion
  • Team player with a collaborative, support-focused approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Rigor in recordkeeping and HR reporting
  • Proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English is required for this position.
