About the role

  • Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to improve production, equipment usage, job performance and quality of product methods.
  • Continually and proactively demonstrate strong leadership through training, motivating and developing team members.
  • Ensure employee retention goals are met through recruiting, selection, orientation, and training.
  • Ensure company policies and guidelines are followed, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Conduct timely and accurate employee performance evaluations and address performance issues.
  • Review monthly budget with Accounting Department to ensure efficient cost control.
  • Develop and implement production plan in order to meet established goals.
  • Determine capacity planning and coordinate personnel and machine usage.
  • Review production lists and prioritize production schedules accordingly.
  • Monitor flow of raw materials, parts, and miscellaneous items; prepare purchase requisitions.
  • Drive improvements in production through Viega’s continuous improvement process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of management/supervision experience
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures regarding Health and Safety issues
  • Knowledge of computer programs including SAP, Kronos, Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Good organizational Skills
  • Ability to carry out instructions in written, verbal or diagram form
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve problems
  • Ability to comply with quality system procedures
  • Ability to make purchasing decisions up to $1,500
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbally with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible level.
