About the role
- Oversee all accounting operations for the SmallHD business
- Lead the month-end close process; maintain supporting schedules and records of monthly reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial accounts, reporting in the Group consolidation system
- Support the weekly cash forecast process; manage and approve payments
- Support the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Act as a business partner to SmallHD leadership; challenge and drive financial performance
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Respond to half-yearly external audit inquiries, and occasional internal audits
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Develop and document processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Approve credit limits and customer terms
- Manage team performance through planning, coaching and reviews
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
- 8+ years of accounting and finance experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience in high technology or manufacturing environments
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Experience working in a public company preferred
