About the role

  • Negotiate high-stakes MSAs and DPAs with global clients — structured to keep sales cycles fast and risk contained
  • Direct outside counsel on corporate and specialized legal matters, keeping external spend focused and efficient
  • Build automated contract workflows that scale with Vibe's growth across new markets and verticals
  • Serve as Vibe's Data Protection Officer — own our GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and SOC2 compliance programs end-to-end
  • Run privacy impact assessments for new product features, particularly around recommendation and creative engines
  • Handle complex data-sharing inquiries from enterprise partners with speed and precision
  • Build legal playbooks for Vibe to safely enter regulated verticals — gambling, pharma, and beyond
  • Maintain continuous compliance across SOC2 and regional standards; audit before regulators do
  • Track global regulatory shifts in streaming TV advertising and keep Vibe's infrastructure ahead of the curve

Requirements

  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, with a heavy focus on data‑driven businesses where data privacy is core to the product (ideally AdTech, streaming TV advertising, MarTech, FinTech, large-scale consumer platforms)
  • Deep hands-on expertise in GDPR and US privacy law (CCPA/CPRA) — you've lived these frameworks, not just reviewed them
  • Proven track record negotiating commercial contracts with Tier 1 global brands and agencies
  • Experience leading a technology company through SOC2, ISO 27001, or equivalent certification
