About the role
- Support daily payment operations to ensure accounts are funded and payments are processed accurately and on time
- Monitor and manage the Payments Operations mailbox, distributing tasks and responding to queries
- Process payments using banking portals such as Barclays.net, Barclays File Gateway, and RBS Bankline
- Investigate and resolve queries related to inbound and outbound payments
- Act as a first-line escalation point for payment-related issues
- Reconcile payments with our blue-chip banking partners
- Assist with the reconciliation of internal broker and treasury accounts
- Liaise with banks to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth operations
- Reporting into the Treasury Operations Manager and collaborating with two other Payments Analysts
Requirements
- Degree educated (finance, economics, business, or similar preferred)
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Positive, dependable, and proactive mindset
- Comfortable asking questions and taking initiative
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Calm under pressure and deadline-driven
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Nice to have: Internship or academic experience in financial services or payments
- Nice to have: Familiarity with banking portals or payment systems
- Nice to have: Interest in treasury, payments, or financial operations
